Community Guidelines
Witoh is a small place built on people knowing each other. These are the standards that keep it that way — short, and meant literally.

The idea
Witoh works because the people on it are recognisable to each other. A recommendation is only worth something if the person making it is real and means it.
These guidelines exist to keep that true. They apply to everything on Witoh — posts, photos, videos, comments, profiles, usernames and messages.
Be yourself, and share what actually happened
- Use your real identity. Do not pretend to be another person, business or organisation.
- Post experiences you actually had. Do not invent them, and do not pass off someone else’s photos or words as your own.
- If someone paid you, gave you something free, or otherwise influenced what you posted, say so in the post.
- Do not post fake praise or fake criticism of a place, whether for yourself or anyone else.
Treat people decently
Disagreeing with someone is fine. Making Witoh unpleasant for them is not. The following are not allowed:
- harassment, bullying, or repeated unwanted contact;
- hateful content, or attacks on people because of race, ethnicity, national origin, caste, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or serious disease;
- threats of violence, or encouraging anyone to harm themselves or others;
- content that sexualises anyone, and absolutely anything involving a minor;
- encouraging others to pile on to a person or a business.
Respect other people's privacy
- Do not post someone else’s private information — home address, phone number, documents, financial details — without their clear permission.
- Think before posting a photo or video of someone who has not agreed to be posted, particularly children.
- If someone asks you to take down something that shows them, take it seriously. If you will not, they can report it to us.
No spam or manipulation
- Do not post repetitive, automated or bulk content.
- Do not run multiple accounts to make something look more popular than it is.
- Do not sell, buy or trade accounts, reactions or reviews.
- Do not use Witoh primarily to advertise, recruit or drive traffic somewhere else.
Nothing illegal or dangerous
- No content that is illegal where you are, or that promotes illegal activity.
- No sale or promotion of regulated goods — drugs, weapons, counterfeit items.
- No exploitation, trafficking, or abuse of any person.
- No fraud, phishing, malware, or attempts to get other people’s credentials.
Reporting something
If you see something that breaks these guidelines, report it from the post or profile in the app. Reports are not shown to the person you report.
If you cannot report it in the app — or if the situation is urgent — write to support@witohapp.com with a link or enough detail for us to find it. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
What happens when something is reported
We look at what was reported, and at the context around it. Depending on what we find, we may leave the content up, remove it, limit who can see it, restrict certain features on an account, or suspend or remove the account entirely.
Serious violations — anything involving a child, credible threats, or a real risk to someone’s safety — result in immediate removal, and may be reported to the authorities.
If you think we got a decision wrong, reply to the message we sent you about it and we will look again.
These guidelines will change
Witoh is new, and we will learn things about what works. When these guidelines change we will update the date at the top of the page. The full legal agreement is in the Terms of Service.
